Indev Consult were appointed as Civil and Structural consultants for a £40 million residential project in Wormit, Fife. The project included 42 affordable housing units completed around 2019 and 158 private residential units by 2020. Indev provided support for all statutory approvals, such as planning, building warrant, roads construction consent, and drainage technical approvals.
The site presented several challenges, including the refurbishment of structural designs for a listed farm building and custom drainage outfall designs due to a title issue off-site below the existing Newport railway line. Indev provided a solution to ensure the development could secure the necessary approvals promptly to meet the housing association budget.
